KURUMI // PRIVACY POLICY
This Privacy Policy explains what information Kurumi may process or store, why it is used, and how users can request help with their data.
Kurumi is a multipurpose Discord bot that provides entertainment, music, moderation, utility, roleplay, economy, custom commands, server configuration, and related Discord features.
Depending on the feature being used, Kurumi may process Discord account and server information such as user IDs, guild IDs, role IDs, channel information, member information, command input, and other data Discord makes available to the bot.
Kurumi also reads message content where necessary to support traditional prefix commands, custom commands, AFK interactions, bot mentions, and other message-driven features.
Kurumi uses MongoDB to store information required for persistent bot features. This may include server configuration, module settings, prefixes, moderation records, tags, custom command configuration, economy and progression data, and related Discord identifiers.
Some message content may be stored when a user or server administrator intentionally provides that content for a persistent feature, such as a custom command response.
Kurumi is not designed to archive ordinary server conversations for advertising, profiling, or general message-history analytics.
Kurumi may use Discord's Server Members and Message Content privileged intents when those permissions are approved and enabled.
Server member data is used for member-focused utilities, moderation, role-related features, member counts, server information, and similar functionality. Message content is used to support prefix commands and message-driven features that cannot function from slash-command data alone.
Some Kurumi features may communicate with third-party services in order to provide requested functionality, such as music, search, image generation, translation, or other integrations.
Information is sent to those services only when necessary for the feature being used. Kurumi does not sell Discord user data to advertisers.
Kurumi may send user-provided prompts to an external AI service when a user intentionally uses an AI-powered feature such as image generation. Kurumi does not use Discord message content to train its own machine learning or AI models.
Persistent data is kept for as long as it is needed to provide the relevant Kurumi feature, maintain server configuration, or support the bot's operation. Some records may remain until the related feature is deleted, reset, the bot is removed from a server, or a valid deletion request is processed.
Users or server administrators who have questions about stored data or want to request deletion can contact the Kurumi support server.
Requests may require enough information to identify the relevant Discord user or server and verify that the requester is authorized to make the request.
Contact Kurumi SupportReasonable technical measures are used to protect Kurumi's systems and stored data. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but access to stored information is intended to be limited to what is necessary to operate and maintain the bot.
This policy may be updated as Kurumi changes or as its integrations, storage practices, or Discord requirements evolve. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
This policy describes Kurumi's current intended data practices. Discord itself is a separate service and is governed by Discord's own policies and terms.
